Chateraise Ski Valley Nobeyama Ski Resort Overview

Season

This resort opens from mid Dec to late March. In 2023, the resort opened on Dec 20th and closed March 24th. Artificial snow making machines work their magic when there isn’t enough snow.

Night Skiing

Yes, there is night skiing available every Saturday from early January to mid March. In 2024, they were also open on a bunch of other days too: 12/29 to 1/3, 1/7, 2/11, 2/23.

Parking

There is 24 hour parking available and it’s free. Toilets are also open 24 hours. 5 large parking lots capable of holding about 880 vehicles are available. There are several handicapped parking spots.

There is a major 3-floor ski center building holding a variety of services.
On the first floor there are; toilets, change rooms, coin lockers, vending machines, ski school, ski and snow board rentals, a ski shop and more.
On the second floor you will find a cafe/ restaurant with indoor and outside seating (terrace), a playroom, a baby room, a lift ticket sales counter, an information counter, a pro shop, vending machines and more

The third floor is almost exclusively zoned as rest areas. A great place to have your lunch or simply rest.

School

While there is a large array of lessons offered, there doesn’t appear to be anything in English. They offer everything from kinder lessons to beginner, intermediate and expert lessons. They offer private lessons, family lessons and group lessons. You can view the separate ski school site here.
